weightrating(GAWR),trailerload,andtrailertongueloadmustbewithinthe
prescribedlimits.
Thetotaltrailerweight(TTW)isthesumoftheweightsofthetrailerload(trailer

weightpluscargo),trailerhitch,vehiclepassengers,andvehicleload.Neverallow
thetotaltrailerweight(TTW)toexceedspecificationsintheTrailerTowing-Load
Table.
ThemaximumGCWRisthecombinationweightofthetrailerandloadplusthe

towingvehicle(includingtrailerhitch,vehiclepassengers,andload).Itmustnot
exceedspecificationsintheloadtable.
GAWRandGVWR
Don'texceedfrontandrearGAWR(grossaxleweightrating)andGVWR(grossvehicle
weightrating).Ifyoudo,vehiclehandling,braking,andperformancewillbeaffected.
ThesevaluesarealsoontheMotorVehicleSafetyCertificationLabelpostedonthedriver's
doorframe.
High-altitudeoperation
Inahigh-altitudeoperatingenvironment,agasolineenginelosespoweratarateof3%to
4%
per304m(1,000ft)ofelevation.Intheseconditions,areductioningrossvehicle
weightandgrosscombinationweightisrecommended.
