checkforkinksortwists.Thenmakesure
itremainsuntwistedasitretracts.
Alwaysunfastenthelapportionof
thebeltbeforefoldingtheleft-rear
seatback.Leavingthelapportionof
thebeltfastenedcouldcause
damagetotheseatbelt,buckleand
seatback.
NOTE
Toencouragerearseatpassengerstowear
theirseatbelts,wesuggestleavingthecenter-
rearlappositionofthebeltfastenedatall
timesexceptwhenfoldingtherearseat
forward.
qFasteningtheLapPortionofthe

NOTE
Grasptongue(A)andinsertitintothe
anchorbuckle(B)untilyouhearaclick.It
isnowsecureforpassengeruse.
Ifabeltdoesnotfullyretract,inspectitfor
kinksandtwists.Ifitisstillnotretracting
properly,haveitinspectedatanAuthorized
MazdaDealer.
NOTE
Afterreturningtheleft-rearseatbacktoits
uprightposition,fastenthelapportionofthe
belt.

Insertasmallobjectsuchasakeyinthe
anchorbuckle(B)slot.
qStowingandpullingoutthe
Center-RearPositionSeatBelt

Thecenter-rearpositionseatbeltcanbe
stowedusingthefollowingprocedure.
CAUTION
Whenstowingtheseatbelt,make
surethebeltislockedsecurelyinto
therecess.Iftheseatbeltisnot
properlystowed,itmightgetcaught
intheseatsandbedamaged.
