Thejam-safewindowfunctiondoesnot
operateuntilthesystemisre-initialized.

Engine-offpowerwindowoperation
Restoringthetwo-stepdownfunction
Thepowerwindowcanbeoperatedfor
about40secondsaftertheignitionswitch
isturnedfromtheONpositiontothe
ACCorLOCKpositionwithalldoors
closed.Ifeitherfrontdoorisopened,the
powerwindowwillbeinoperable.
Withthetwo-stepdownfunctioninthe
canceledstate,repeattheprevious
procedureforcancelingthefunctionon
eachdoorswitchanditwillberestored.

Ifyouareunabletorestorethefunctiondespite
doingtherestoreprocedure,consultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
NOTE
Forengine-offoperationofthepower

window,theswitchmustbeheldupfirmly
throughoutwindowclosurebecausethe
auto-closingfunctionwillbeinoperable.
Jam-safewindow
Ifaperson'shands,headoranobject
blocksthewindowduringthemanual
closingoperationortheauto-closing
operation,thewindowwillstopandopen
halfway.
Thetwo-stepdownfunctionisinoperable
duringengine-offoperation.

Makesurenothingblocksthewindow
justbeforeitreachesthefullyclosed
positionorwhilefullyholdingupthe
powerwindowswitch:
Blockingthepowerwindowjust
beforeitreachesthefullyclosed
positionorwhilefullyholdingupthe
powerwindowswitchisdangerous.
Inthiscase,thejam-safefunction
cannotpreventthewindowfrom
stopping.Iffingersarecaught,
seriousinjuriescouldoccur.
