Whenusingtherearseatbackknobs:
2. Pullonthetopoftheseatbacksfrom
insidethevehicletomakesuretheyare
locked.
CAUTION
Whenoperatingtherearseatback
knob,makesureyousupportthe
seatbackwithyourhand.Ifthe
seatbackisnotsupportedwithyour
hand,itwillflipforwardsuddenly
andcouldcauseinjurytothefinger
thatpushestherearseatbackknob
down.

Fastenthecenter-rearlap/shoulderbelt
andcheckthatallseatbeltsarerouted
properlyforpassengeruse(page2-22).
WARNING
Alwaysmakesuretheseatbeltsare
fullypulledoutfromunderthe
seatbacks:
Aseatbeltcaughtunderaseatback
aftertheseatbackisreturnedtoits
uprightpositionisdangerous.Ina
collisionorsuddenstop,theseatbelt
cannotprovideadequateprotection.

Unfastenthelapportionofthecenter-
rearseatbelt(page2-22).
CAUTION
Alwaysunfastenthelapportionof
thebeltbeforefoldingtherear-left
seatback.Leavingthelapportionof
thebeltfastenedcouldcause
damagetotheseatbelt,buckleand
seatback.
Whenreturningtheseatbacktothe
uprightposition,makesurethereisno
redindication:
Arearseatbacknotfullyreturned
andlockedintheuprightpositionis
dangerous.Suddenstopsor
maneuveringcouldcauseaseatback
toflipforwardsuddenlyresultingin
injury.Iftheredindicatorisvisibleon
thebackoftherearseatbackknob,
theseatbackisnotlockedinthe
uprightposition.
