StartingaFloodedEngine
Iftheenginefailstostart,itmaybe
flooded(excessivefuelintheengine).
Followthisprocedure:
1.
Iftheenginedoesnotstartwithinfive
secondsonthefirsttry,turnthekeyto
theLOCKposition,waittenseconds
andtryagain.

Depresstheacceleratorallthewayand
holditthere.
TurntheignitionswitchtotheSTART
positionandholditthere―forupto
tenseconds.Iftheenginestarts,release
thekeyandacceleratorimmediately
becausetheenginewillsuddenlyrev
up.
4.
Iftheenginefailstostart,crankit
withoutdepressingtheaccelerator―for
uptotenseconds.
Iftheenginestilldoesnotstartusingthe
aboveprocedure,haveyourvehicle
inspectedbyanAuthorizedMazda
Dealer.
