areilluminatedsimultaneouslyis
dangerous.
Whenbothlightsareilluminated,the
rearwheelscouldlockmorequickly
inanemergencystopthanunder
normalcircumstances.
Thiswarninglightilluminateswhenthe
ignitionswitchisturnedtotheON
positionandturnsoffwhentheengineis
started.
Thiswarninglightindicateslowengine
oilpressure.
Ifthelightilluminateswhiledriving:
qChargingSystemWarningLight

Drivetothesideoftheroadandpark
offtheright-of-wayonlevelground.

Turnofftheengineandwait5minutes
fortheoiltodrainbackintotheoil
pan.

Inspecttheengineoillevel(page8-21).
Ifit'slow,addtheappropriateamount
ofengineoilwhilebeingcarefulnotto
overfill.
Thiswarninglightilluminateswhenthe
ignitionswitchisturnedtotheON
positionandturnsoffwhentheengineis
started.
Starttheengineandcheckthewarning
light.
Ifthewarninglightilluminateswhile
driving,itindicatesamalfunctionofthe
alternatororofthechargingsystem.
Drivetothesideoftheroadandparkoff
theright-of-way.ConsultanAuthorized
MazdaDealer.
Ifthelightremainsilluminatedevenafter
youaddoil,stoptheengineimmediately
andhaveyourvehicletowedtoan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
CAUTION
Donotruntheengineiftheoil
pressureislow.Itcouldresultin
extensiveenginedamage.
CAUTION
Donotcontinuedrivingwhenthe
chargingsystemwarninglightis
illuminatedbecausetheenginecould
stopunexpectedly.
