dooronthesidethecarishit.Seriousinjurycouldoccurifsomeoneissittingtoo
closetothedoororleaningagainstawindow,orifrearseatoccupantsgrabthe
sidesofthefrontseatbacks.Givethesideandcurtainairbagsroomtoworkby
sittinginthecenteroftheseatwhilethevehicleismovingwithseatbeltsworn
properly.
Donotattachobjectsonoraroundtheareawheredriverandfrontpassengerair
bagsdeploy:
Attachinganobjecttothedriverandfrontpassengerairbagmodulesorplacing
somethinginfrontofthemisdangerous.Inanaccident,anobjectcouldinterfere
withairbaginflationandinjuretheoccupants.

seats.Neveruseseatcoversonthefrontseats.Alwayskeepthesideairbagmodules
inyourfrontseatsfreetodeployintheeventofasidecollision.
Donotattachobjectsonoraroundtheareawhereacurtainairbagdeploys:
Attachingobjectstotheareaswherethecurtainairbagactivatessuchasonthe
windshieldglass,sidedoorglass,frontandrearwindowpillarsandalongtheroof
edgeandassistgripsisdangerous.Inanaccidenttheobjectcouldinterferewiththe
curtainairbag,whichinflatesfromthefrontandrearwindowpillarsandalongthe
roofedge,impedingtheaddedprotectionofthecurtainairbagsystemorredirecting
theairbaginawaythatisdangerous.Furthermore,thebagcouldbecutopen
releasingthegas.
Donotplacehangersoranyotherobjectsontheassistgrips.Whenhangingclothes,
hangthemonthecoathookdirectly.Alwayskeepthecurtainairbagmodulesfree
todeployintheeventofasidecollisionorroll-overaccident.
Donotplaceluggageorotherobjectsunderthefrontseats:
Placingluggageorotherobjectsunderthefrontseatsisdangerous.Thecomponents
essentialtothesupplementalrestraintsystemcouldbedamaged,andintheeventof
asidecollision,theappropriateairbagsmaynotdeploy,whichcouldresultindeath
orseriousinjury.Topreventdamagetothecomponentsessentialtothe
supplementalrestraintsystem,donotplaceluggageorotherobjectsunderthefront
seats.
