Bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running
lights (standard). The combination of bi-xenon
headlamps and new LED daytime running lights
ensures optimum visibility both for the driver
and for the R-Class itself. Comprising two sets of
seven LEDs, the daytime running lights not only
help the R-Class to be seen by other road users,
they also use less power, last longer and make for
a distinctive, high-tech look. The bi-xenon head-
lamps, meanwhile, have a brighter light and a
greater range than their conventional counter-
parts, and also illuminate a wider area of the
road. In addition, their dynamic range adjustment
prevents drivers of oncoming vehicles from
being dazzled, while the integral wash system
means the headlamps stay clean at all times.
ESP with Trailer Stability Assist (standard).
The ESP system’s Trailer Stability Assist
provides extra safety when towing. If it detects
a significant degree of trailer sway, it intervenes
quickly to maintain stability, briefly applying
the brakes to individual wheels to counter the
sideways motion.
LED daytime running lights ensure the R-Class is always clearly visible to other road users
