Airbags (standard). The R-Class interior is fitted
with six standard-equipment airbags that can
seat passenger, plus two large windowbags that
offer head protection for all three rows of seats.

Neck-Pro active head restraints (standard).
The Neck-Pro active head restraints help to
reduce the risk of whiplash injuries to the
front seat occupants. In the event of a rear-end
impact, each head restraint is raised by 30
millimetres and moved forwards by approxi-
mately 40 millimetres, helping to support the
head sooner. Optional luxury head restraints
are also available – their flexible side bolsters
offer even greater support and comfort.
