Occupant protection
The R-Class does everything it can to look after its driver and passengers – be it in potentially dangerous situations or in a collision itself.
Pre-Safe system (standard). In the face of
an imminent accident, Pre-Safe can take
anticipatory measures in order to enhance
occupant protection. These include activating
the reversible seat belt tensioners, automati-
cally closing the windows and sunroof (if fitted),
and moving the passenger seat to a better
position for an impact (only in conjunction with
memory function, part of the optional Luxury
Seat Package).
The Pre-Safe anticipatory safety system can detect probable accident situations and take advance measures to protect the occupants
