Climate control
The right cabin climate makes for a relaxed, alert driver and contented passengers. Which is why the R-Class lets occupants choose their own
individual temperature settings.
Automatic climate control (standard). The
standard climate control system allows separate
temperature, air flow and blower settings to
be selected for the left- and right-hand sides
of the cabin. It then automatically maintains
these separate settings, but also allows you to
intervene manually if required. For optimum air
quality, the R-Class comes with an air recircula-
tion function and a combined dust and activated
charcoal filter that even captures particulates.
Luxury automatic climate control (optional).
The luxury automatic climate control system
features independent three-zone control for the
driver, the front seat passenger and those in
the rear. It also includes an additional blower
between the rear seats and uses sensor data
to ensure a pleasant climate is maintained at
all times.
Rear seat climate control unit (optional).
Available in conjunction with optional luxury
automatic climate control, the rear seat controls
enable those in the second row of seats to set
the temperature and output independently of
the front seat settings.
The luxury automatic climate control system is intuitive and easy
to use
The rear seat climate control unit enables those in the rear to
select their own temperature and output settings
