UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DESCRIPTION
Your  vehicle   is  equ ipped   with  the   instru ment   cluster
described   on the  follow ing pages.
4.  Sentry  Key Indica tor  Light  — If Equipped
Refer to “Sentry  Key Immobilizer   System ” in
Section  2 of this  manu al.

Ind icates available  battery  voltage  and  charging
system  operation.   The lower  red  zone ind icates

Ind icates  the  engine   speed   in  revolu tions   per  minu te
(RPM).

With the  engine  running,   the  norm al operating   range
is betw een 11 and  15 volts.  Prolonged   gau ge read ings
betw een 8-11  (und ercharge)  or  above  15 (overcharge)
ind icate  possible   malfunction    of  generator,   voltage
regu lator or battery.  See you r dealer if such  ind ications
occur.
CAUTIO N!
Do   not   operate   the   engin  e  with   the   tach ometer
poin ter  in the  red  area.  Engin e  damage  will  occur.

Front  Fog Light  Indica tor  Light  — If Equipped
This  light  show s when  the  front  fog  lights  are
on.

Turn Signa l Indica tor  Light s
The  arrow s will  flash  with  the  exterior  turn   sig-
nals when  the  turn signal  lever is operated  . A tone

Cruise  Indica tor  Light
This  light  show s when  the  electronic   speed
control  system  is turned   on.
will chim e if the  turn  signals  are left on  for more  than
1 mile  (2 km).
