MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE
Underhood Fuses (Power Distribution Center)
Your vehicle is equ ipped with an electrical power distri-
bution center located in the engine compartm ent near the
battery. This power center hou ses plug-in “Cartrid ge”
fuses, ISO relays, and Mini (Micro) fuses.
VEHICLE STORAGE
If you are leaving you r vehicle dorm ant for more than 21
days you may want to take step s to protect you r battery.
You may:

Remove Cartrid ge fuse #15 in the Pow er Distribu tion
Center labeled Ignition-Off Draw (IOD).
Store the rem oved IOD fuse in the Pow er Distribu tion
Center location #11 labeled “IOD Storage.”

Or, disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Anytim e you store you r vehicle, or keep it out of
service (i.e. vacation) for two weeks or more, run the
air cond itioning system at idle for abou t five minu tes
in the fresh air and high blow er setting. This will
insu re adequ ate system lubrication to minim ize the
possibility of compressor damage when the system is
started again.
A label insid e the latching cover of the center identifies
each component for ease of rep lacem ent, if necessary.
Cartrid ge and mini (micro) fuses can be obtained from
you r authorized dealer.
