Mobil Speed pass™, additional Sentry Keys, or any
other transp ond er equ ipped components on the sam e
keychain will not cause a key-related (Transp ond er)
fault unless the additional part is physically held
again st the ign ition key being used when starting
the vehicle. Also, cell phones, pagers, or other RF
electronics will not cause interference with this
system .
At the time of purchase, the original owner is provid ed
with a four digit PIN nu mber. This nu mber is requ ired
for dealer rep lacem ent of keys. Duplication of keys may
be perform ed at an authorized dealer or by using the 2
Custom er Key Program ming proced ure. This proced ure
consists of program ming a blank key to the vehicle
electronics. A blank key is one which has never been
program med.
All of the keys provid ed with you r new vehicle have
been program med to the vehicle electronics.
NOTE: When having the Sentry Key System serviced ,
bring all vehicle keys to the dealer.
Important Note About Service
Customer Key Programming
A four digit PIN nu mber is need ed to service the Sentry
Key Immobilizer System . This nu mber can be obtained
from you r authorized dealer. However, this nu mber can
also be found on you r custom er invoice that you were
given upon receip t of you r vehicle.
You can program new keys to the system if you have two
valid keys by doing the follow ing:
1. Cut the additional Sentry Key Transp ond er blank(s) to
match the ignition switch lock cylind er key code.

2. Insert the first valid key into the ignition switch and
turn the ignition switch ON for at least 3 second s but no
longer than 15 second s. Turn the ignition switch OFF and
rem ove the first key.
NOTE: Only keys that have been program med to the
vehicle electronics can be used to start the vehicle. Once
a Sentry Key has been program med to a vehicle, it cannot
be program med to any other vehicle.
