AtverylowspeedQueueassistmaystopfor
stationaryobjects,e.g.,whenthevehicleahead
changeslanetorevealastationaryobject.The
vehicleradarcannotalwaysdistinguish
betweenastationaryvehicleandafixedobject
likearoadsign,draincoverortemporary
barrier.Thismaycauseunexpectedbrakingor
cancellationandthedrivershouldinterveneif
appropriate.
Wheneverthedriverisoverridingthe
ACCbydepressingtheaccelerator
pedal,theACCwillnotautomatically
applythebrakestomaintain
separationfromanyvehicleahead.
Thesetspeedandgapcanbeoverriddenby
depressingtheacceleratorpedalwhilecruising
ataconstantspeedorinFollowmode.Ifthe
vehicleisinFollowmodewhentheACCis
overridden,theFollowmodewarninglampwill
gooutandCRUISEOVERRIDEwillbe
displayedintheMessagecentre.Whenthe
acceleratorisreleased,theACCfunctionwill
operateagainandthevehiclespeedwill
decreasetothesetspeed,oralowerspeedif
Followmodeisactive.
ACCAUTOOFF
ACCwilldisengage,butnotclearthememory
when:
TheCANCELbuttonispressed.
Thebrakepedalispressed.
Neutral(N)isselected.
DynamicStabilityControl(DSC)activates.
ElectronicTractionControl(ETC)activates.
HillDescentControl(HDC)isselected.
CertainTerrainResponsemodesare
selected,i.e.SandandMudruts.
QUEUEASSIST
QueueassistisanenhancementofAdaptive
CruiseControl(ACC)and,whenactive,will
followavehicleaheadtoastandstill.Itis
intendedforuseinlinesoftrafficonmajor
roadswhereminimalsteeringisrequired.
Thedifferencebetweenthevehicle's
currentspeedandthesetspeedistoo
great.
Theacceleratorpedalisusedtoaccelerate
beyondthesetspeedfortoolongaperiod,
i.e.morethan5minutes.See108,
OVERRIDINGTHESPEEDANDFOLLOW
MODE.
Ifavehicleaheadslowstoahalt,Queueassist
willbringthevehicletoastopandholdit
stationary.
Whilethevehicleisheldstationary,Queue

Maximumenginerevolutionspeedis
ThedrivercancelsQueueassist.
Thevehicleisstoppedformorethan2
minutes.
