columnlock,whichlocksandunlocksin
conjunctionwiththevehiclelockingsystem.It
alsolocksautomatically,afteratimedelay,if
theignitionisswitchedoffandtheSmartkeyis
removedfromthevehicle.
Note:TheSmartkeyneedsonlytobeonthe
driver’spersonorinanon-metallicbagor
briefcase.Itdoesnotneedtobeexposedor
handled.
Toenterthevehicle,justpullthedoorhandle.
Thealarmwillbedisarmedandthedoors
unlockedaccordingtothecurrentunlock/entry
setting(SingleorMulti-Point).Thehazard
warninglampswillflashtwiceas'unlock’
confirmation.Power-foldedmirrorswillfold
out(ifenabled).
Anymalfunctionofthesteeringcolumnlock
willbeindicatedbythemessageSteering
ColumnLockedbeingdisplayedinthe
Messagecentre.Ifthisoccurs:

Lockandthenunlockthevehicleusingthe
Smartkey.
Note:IfSinglepointentryisthecurrent
securitysettingandadoorotherthanthe
driver’sdoorisopenedfirst,allofthedoors
willunlock.

Tryagaintounlockthesteeringcolumn
lock,byturningthesteeringwheelgently
totheleftandright.

Iftheproblempersists,seekqualified
assistanceimmediately.
