applyexcessiveforceorsidewaysforce
onthegauge/inflator.

Firmlyattachatyrepressuregauge/inflator
tothevalve.
Aslightpressurelossoccursnaturallywith
time.Ifthisexceeds14kPa(0.14bar/2psi)per
week,havethecauseinvestigatedandrectified
byqualifiedpersonnel.

Readthetyrepressurefromthegaugeand
addairifrequired.
Ifairisaddedtothetyre,removethegauge
andre-attachitbeforereadingthe
pressure.Failuretodosomayresultinan
inaccuratereading.
Ifitisnecessarytochecktyrepressureswhen
thetyresarewarm,youshouldexpectthe
pressurestohaveincreasedbyupto30-40
kPa(0.3-0.4bar/4-6psi).Donotreducethe
tyrepressurestothecoldinflationpressure
underthesecircumstances.Allowthetyresto
coolfullybeforeadjustingthepressures.

Ifthetyrepressureistoohigh,removethe
gaugeandallowairoutofthetyreby
pressingthecentreofthevalve.Refitthe
gaugetothevalveandcheckthepressure.
Thefollowingprocedureshouldbeusedto
checkandadjustthetyrespressures:

Repeattheprocess,addingorremovingair
asrequired,untilthecorrecttyrepressure
isreached.
Refitthevalvecap.
Temporaryusespare-maximum80km/h(50mph)
