'softclose’stage,theopenrequestwillbe

thetailgateclosesautomatically,therequired
heighthasnotbeenset.Repeattheprocess
makingsurethatallstepsareadheredto.
Beforeoperatingthetailgate,make
sureanyoneinthevicinitydoesnot
haveanypartoftheirbodyina
positionwhereitcouldbetrapped.
Notethatthe'softclose’actiondoes
notincorporateobjectdetection.
Deathorseriousinjurycouldoccur,
evenwithanobjectdetectionsystem.
Toresetthemaximumopeningheight,repeat
theprocess,butwhenthetailgatereachesits
currentprogrammedheight,manuallymoveit
tothefullyopenpositionbeforepressingand
holdingthebutton.
Thepoweredtailgatemayloseitsposition
memoryiftherearemultipleobjectdetections
orifthebatteryvoltageislow.Powered
operationmaybeinhibited.
Objectdetectionwhileopening:Ifanobjectis
detectedthatwouldinterferewiththetailgate
opening,tailgatemovementwillstop.Remove
anyobstructionsandpressthetailgatebutton
againtoopen.

Pressareleaseswitch.
Objectdetectionwhileclosing:Ifanobjectis
detectedthatwouldinterferewiththetailgate
closing,tailgatemovementwillstopandthen
reversetothefullyopenposition.Anaudible
warningwillbegiventoindicateamislock.
Removeanyobstructionsandpressthe
tailgateclosebuttonagaintoclose.

tailgateprogrammedmemorywillnowbe

Themaximumopeningheightcanbesetas
required.Thisisusefulinparkingareaswith
lowceilingheightsorjustforeaseofuse.
DRIVE-AWAYLOCKING
Drive-awaylockingautomaticallylocksall
doorsatasetspeedwhenthevehicleisin
motion.Thisfeaturecanbeenabled/disabled
viaDrive-awaylockingintheVehicleset-up
menu.See40,INSTRUMENTPANELMENU.

wanttosetasthemaximumheight.Press
anytailgatecontroltostopmovementat
therequiredposition.Finalpositioncanbe
achievedmanuallyifrequired.
SMARTKEYBATTERY
REPLACEMENT
Whenthebatteryneedsreplacing,therewillbe
asignificantdecreaseintheeffectiverangeand
SMARTKEYBATTERYLOWwillbedisplayed
intheMessagecentre.
