keyisintheONposition).Thefuel
gaugemayvaryslightlywhenthe
vehicleisinmotion.Theignition
shouldbeintheOFFpositionwhile
thevehicleisbeingrefueled.When
thegaugefirstindicatesempty,
thereisasmallamountofreserve
fuelinthetank.Whenrefuelingthe
vehiclefromemptyindication,the

amountoffuelthatcanbeaddedwillbelessthantheadvertised
capacityduetothereservefuel.
Engine coolant temperature gauge
Indicatesthetemperatureofthe
enginecoolant.Atnormaloperating
temperature,theneedleremains
withinthenormalarea(thearea
betweenthe“H”and“C”).Ifitenters
theredsection,theengineis
overheating.Stopthevehicleassoon
assafelypossible,switchoffthe

engineimmediatelyandlettheengine
cool.RefertoEnginecoolantinthe
Maintenanceandcarechapter.
Neverremovethecoolantreservoircapwhiletheengineis
runningorhot.
Thisgaugeindicatesthetemperatureoftheenginecoolant,notthe
coolantlevel.Ifthecoolantisnotatitsproperlevelthegaugeindication
willnotbeaccurate.
