coldorlukewarmwater.Neveruse
strongdetergentsorsoap.Ifyour
vehicleisparticularlydirty,usea
qualitycarwashdetergent.Always
useacleansponge,washingglove
orsimilardeviceandplentyofwater
forbestresults.Toavoidspots,
avoidwashingwhenthehoodisstill
warm,immediatelyafterorduring
exposuretostrongsunlight.
Duringwintermonths,itisespeciallyimportanttowashthevehicleona
regularbasis.Largequantitiesofdirtandroadsaltaredifficultto
removeandalsocausedamagetothevehicle.
Removeanyexterioraccessories,suchasantennas,beforeenteringacar
wash.Ifyouhavewaxappliedtothevehicleatacommercialcarwash,it
isrecommendedthatyoucleanthewiperbladesandwindshieldas
describedinCleaningthewiperbladesandwindshield.
Afterwashing,applythebrakesseveraltimestodrythem.
Waxing your vehicle
Waxwhenwaterstopsbeadingonthesurface.Thiscouldbeeverythree
orfourmonths,dependingonoperatingconditions.
Useonlycarnaubaorsynthetic-basedwaxes.Usecleaningfluidor
alcoholwithacleanclothtoremoveanybugsbeforewaxingvehicle.Use
tarremovertoremoveanytarspots.
Avoidgettingwaxonthewindshield.Ifyouhavewaxappliedata
commercialcarwash,itisrecommendedthatyoucleanthewiperblades
andwindshieldasdescribedinCleaningthewiperbladesand
windshield.
Repairing paint chips
Minorscratchesorpaintdamagefromroaddebrismayberepairedwith
theUltraTouchPrepandFinishingKit(#F7AZ-19K507–BA),touch-up
paint(#ALBZ-19500–XXXXA),oraerosolpaintspray(#ALAZ-19500–
XXXXA)fromtheFordCarCareChemicalsline.Pleasenotethatthe
partnumbers(shownasXXXXabove)willvarywithyourvehicle’s
specificcoloring.Observetheapplicationinstructionsontheproducts.
