TRIP ODOMETER
The trip odometer may be used to conveniently
record trip distances. Push the reset knob to set
the counter to zero.

To indicate a lane change, move the lever up or
down to a point where it begins flashing.
The lever will automatically return to the center
positionwhenreleased.
To operate the headlights, turn the barrel on the
endofthemulti-functionswitch.Thefirstposition
turns on the parking lights, sidelights, tail lights
andinstrumentpanellights.Thesecondposition
turns on the headlights.

COMBINATION TURN SIGNAL,
HEADLIGHTANDHIGH-BEAMSWITCH
Turn Signal Operation
Pullingdownonthelevercausestheturnsignals
ontheleftsideofthecartoblink.Pushingupward
on the lever causes the turn signals on the right
side of the car to blink. As the turn is completed,
the lever will automatically return to the center
positionandturnofftheturnsignalsatthesame
time. If either turn signal indicator light blinks
more rapidly than usual, goes on but does not
blink,ordoesnotgoonatall,thereisamalfunc-
tioninthesystem.Checkforaburned-outfuseor
bulb or see your Hyundai dealer.

Daytime Running Lights (If Installed)
Your Hyundai is equipped with daytime running
lights. The daytime running lights are used to
improvevisibilityforoncomingtraffic.Yourvehi-
cledaytimerunninglightsaredesignedtoremain
on continuously when the engine is operating
eventhoughtheheadlightswitchisinthe"OFF"
position.However,thedaytimerunninglightswill
be off while the parking brake is applied.
