Replacingtiresandwheels
Ifyouorsomeoneelsechangestires,you
orsomeoneelsecanalsoundertakethe
stepsfortheTPMStocompletetheID
signalcoderegistration.
CAUTION
Whenreplacing/repairingthetiresor
wheelsorboth,havetheworkdone
byanAuthorizedMazdaDealer,or
thetirepressuresensorsmaybe
damaged.

Aftertireshavebeenchanged,turnthe
ignitionswitchtotheONposition,then
turnitbacktotheACCorLOCK
position.
ThewheelsequippedonyourMazda
arespeciallydesignedforinstallation
ofthetirepressuresensors.Donot
usenon-genuinewheels,otherwiseit
maynotbepossibletoinstallthetire
pressuresensors.

Waitforabout15minutes.
Afterabout15minutes,drivethe
vehicleataspeedofatleast25km/h
(16
mph)for10minutesandthetire
pressuresensorIDsignalcodewillbe
registeredautomatically.
Besuretohavethetirepressuresensors
installedwhenevertiresorwheelsare
replaced.
Whenhavingatireorwheelorboth
replaced,thefollowingtypesoftire
pressuresensorinstallationarepossible.
NOTE
Ifthevehicleisdrivenwithinabout15
minutesofchangingtires,thetire
pressuremonitoringsystemwarning
lightwillflashbecausethesensorID
signalcodewouldnothavebeen
registered.Ifthishappens,parkthe
vehicleforabout15minutes,after
whichthesensorIDsignalcodewill
registerupondrivingthevehiclefor10
minutes.
Thetirepressuresensorisremoved

fromtheoldwheelandinstalledtothe
newone.
Thesametirepressuresensorisused
l
withthesamewheel.Onlythetireis
replaced.
Anewtirepressuresensorisinstalled
l
toanewwheel.
