hot.Youcouldbeburned.Carefully
inspecttheenginecoolantinthe
coolantreservoir,butdonotopenit.
Donotuseamatchorliveflameinthe
enginecompartment.DONOTADD
COOLANTWHENTHEENGINEIS
HOT.
Thecoolantshouldbeatfullinthe
radiatorandbetweentheFandLmarks
onthecoolantreservoirwhentheengine
iscool.
CoolingFanandEngine
Inspection:
Inspectingtheenginewiththeignition
switchintheONpositionis
dangerous.Thecoolingfancouldturn
onunexpectedlyevenwhentheengine
isn'trunning.Youcouldbeseriously
injuredbythefan.Turntheignition
switchoffandremovethekeyfromthe
ignitionswitchwhenyouinspectthe
engine.
Ifit'satornearL,addenoughcoolantto
thecoolantreservoirtoprovidefreezing
andcorrosionprotectionandtobringthe
leveltoF.
CAUTION
CoolingSystemCaps:
Whentheengineandradiatorarehot,
scaldingcoolantandsteammayshoot
outunderpressureandcauseserious
injury.Don'tremoveeithercooling
systemcapwhentheengineand
radiatorarehot.
Radiatorcoolantwilldamagepaint.
Rinseitoffquicklyifspilled.
Ifthecoolantreservoirisemptyornew
coolantisrequiredfrequently,consultan
