withallfourwheelsonthegroundusing
thetowinghookatthefrontofthe
vehicle.
TiedownHooks
CAUTION
Don'tusethetiedownhooksunderthe
frontandrearfortowing.
TheyaredesignedONLYfortying
downthevehiclewhenit'sbeing
transported.Usingthemfortowingwill
damagethebumper.
Onlytowthevehicleonpavedsurfaces
forshortdistancesatlowspeeds.
CAUTION
Followtheseinstructionswhentowing
thevehiclewithallwheelsonthe
ground.
qTiedownHook-Front
1.
Shifttoneutral(MT),ortheN
position(AT)
1. Removethetiedowneyelet,lug
wrench,andjackleverfromthetrunk
(page7-3).
2.
TurntheignitionswitchtotheACC
positiontopreventthesteeringfrom
lockingup.
2. Wrapthejackleverwithasoftclothto
preventdamagetothebumperand
openthecaplocatedonthefront
bumper.
3.
Releasetheparkingbrake.
Rememberthatpowerassistforthe
brakesandsteeringwillnotbeavailable
whentheengineisnotrunning.
CAUTION
Thecapcannotbecompletelyremoved.
Donotuseexcessiveforceasitmay
damagethecaporscratchthepainted
bumpersurface.
