NOTE
Pressanybuttononthetransmitter.
(Withouttheft-deterrentsystem)
Thehazardwarninglightswillflash
twicetoindicatethatalldoorsandthe
liftgateareunlocked.
qTransmitterMaintenance
Ifthebuttonsonthetransmitterare
inoperableandtheoperationindicator
lightdoesnotflash,thebatterymaybe
dead.
Replacewithanewbatterybeforethe
transmitterbecomesunusable.
(Withtheft-deterrentsystem)
Thehazardwarninglightswillnot
l
flash.
Thehazardwarninglightsonlyflash
l
whenthetheftdeterrentsystemis
turnedoff,refertothetheft-deterrent
system(page3-22).
CAUTION
Installthebatterywiththepositive
l
pole(  )facingdown.Battery
leakagecouldoccurifitisnot
installedcorrectly.
NOTE
Afterunlockingwiththetransmitter,all
doorsandtheliftgatewillautomatically
lockifoneofthedoorsortheliftgateis
notopenedwithinabout30seconds.
Whenreplacingthebattery,be
l
carefulnottobendtheelectrical
terminalsorgetoilonthem.Alsobe
carefulnottogetdirtinthe
Panicbutton
transmitterasitcouldbedamaged.
Ifyouwitnessfromadistancesomeone
attemptingtobreakintoordamageyour
vehicle,pressingthepanicbuttonwill
activatethevehicle'salarm.
Thereisthedangerofexplosionif
thebatteryisnotcorrectlyreplaced.
l
Replaceonlywiththesametype
battery(CR1620orequivalent).
l
Disposeofusedbatteriesaccording
l
tothefollowinginstructions.
NOTE
Thealarmwillworkwhether  anydoor
ortheliftgateisopenorclosed.
Insulatetheplusandminus
l
terminalsofthebatteryusing
cellophaneorequivalenttape.
Turningonthealarm
Neverdisassemble.
l
Pressingthepanicbuttonfor1secondor
morewilltriggerthealarmforabout2
minutesand30seconds,andthe
followingwilloccur:
Neverthrowthebatteryintofire
and/orwater.
Neverdeformorcrush.
l
l
Replacingthetransmitterbattery
Thehornsoundsintermittently.
l
Thehazardwarninglightsflash.
