Thetemporarysparetirecondition
graduallydeterioratesevenifithasnot
beenused.
Thetemporarysparetireisfor
limiteduse,however,ifthetread
wearsolid-bandindicatorappears,
replacethetirewiththesametypeof
temporaryspare(page8-31).
Thetemporarysparetireiseasierto
handlebecauseofitsconstruction.Itis
lighterandsmallerthanaconventional
tireandshouldbeusedonlyforan
emergencyandonlyforashortdistance.
