switch must be in the ON position).
Indicates the shift lever can be shifted freely into any position.

ThisSportAThasanoptionthatisnotincludedintraditionalautomatictransaxle-
givingthedrivertheoptionofselectingeachgearinsteadofleavingittothetransaxleto
shiftgears.Evenifyouintendtousetheautomatictransaxlefunctionsasatraditional
automatic,youshouldalsobeawarethatyoucaninadvertentlyshiftintomanualshift
modeandaninappropriategearmayberetainedasyouchangespeeds.Ifyounoticethe
enginespeedgoinghigherorheartheengineracing,confirmyouhavenotaccidentally
slippedintomanualshiftmode(page5-13).
