Connectoneendofacabletothe
positiveterminalonthedischarged
battery(1).

Attachtheotherendtothepositive

terminalontheboosterbattery(2).
Connectoneendoftheothercable

tothenegativeterminalofthe
boosterbattery(3).
Connecttheotherendtoasolid,

stationary,exposedmetallicpoint
(forexample,therighthandside
enginemountingbolt)awayfrom
thedischargedbattery(4).

Makesuretheboosterbatteryis12V
andthatitsnegativeterminalis
grounded.

Starttheengineoftheboostervehicle
andrunitafewminutes.Thenstartthe
engineoftheothervehicle.
Iftheboosterbatteryisinanother
vehicle,don'tallowbothvehiclesto
touch.Turnofftheengineofthe
vehiclewiththeboosterbatteryandall
unnecessaryelectricalloadsinboth
vehicles.
6. Whenfinished,carefullydisconnectthe
cablesinthereverseorderdescribedin
theillustration.
