Afteradjustingthetireairpressures,
itmayrequiresometimeforthe
TPMSwarninglighttogoout.Ifthe
TPMSwarninglightremains
illuminated,drivethevehicleata
speedofatleast25km/h(16mph)
for10minutes,andthenverifythatit
goesout.

CAUTION
Whenreplacing/repairingthetiresor
wheelsorboth,havetheworkdoneby
anAuthorizedMazdaDealer,orthetire
pressuresensorsmaybedamaged.
Tirescanloosealittleairquite

naturallyovertimeandtheTPMS
cannottellifthetiresaregettingtoo
softovertimeoryouhaveaflat.
However,whenyoufindonelowtire
inasetoffour-thatisanindication
oftrouble;youshouldhavesomeone
drivethevehicleslowlyforwardso
youcaninspectanylowtireforcuts
andanymetalstickingthroughtread
orsidewall.Putafewdropsofwater
inthevalvestemtoseeifitbubbles
indicatingabadvalve.Leaksneedto
beaddressedbymorethansimply
refillingthetroubletireasleaksare
dangerous-takeittoanAuthorized
MazdaDealerwhichhasallthe
equipmenttofixtires,TPMS
NOTE
Performtirepressureadjustment

whenthetiresarecold.Tirepressure
willvaryaccordingtothetire
temperature,thereforeletthevehicle
standfor1houroronlydriveit1.6
km(1mile)orlessbeforeadjusting
thetirepressures.Whenpressureis
adjustedonhottirestothecold
inflationpressure,theTPMS
warninglight/beepmayturnonafter
thetirescoolandpressuredrops
belowspecification.
Also,anilluminatedTPMSwarning
light,resultingfromthetireair
pressuredroppingduetocold
ambienttemperature,maygooutif
theambienttemperaturerises.Inthis
case,itwillalsobenecessaryto
adjustthetireairpressures.Ifthe
TPMSwarninglightilluminatesdue
toadropintireairpressure,make
suretocheckandadjustthetireair
pressures.

Ifthewarninglightilluminatesagaineven
afterthetirepressuresareadjusted,there
maybeatirepuncture.Replacethe
puncturedtirewiththetemporaryspare
tire(page7-7).
NOTE
Atirepressuresensorisnotinstalledto
thetemporarysparetire.Thewarning
lightwillflashcontinuouslywhilethe
temporarysparetireisbeingused.
