seriousinjury.Topreventdamagetothecomponentsessentialtothesupplemental
restraintsystem,donotplaceluggageorotherobjectsunderthefrontseats.
Donottouchthecomponentsofthesupplementalrestraintsystemaftertheairbags
haveinflated:
Touchingthecomponentsofthesupplementalrestraintsystemaftertheairbagshave
inflatedisdangerous.Immediatelyafterinflation,theyareveryhot.Youcouldget
burned.
Neverinstallanyfront-endequipmenttoyourvehicle:
Installationoffront-endequipment,suchasfrontalprotectionbar(kangaroobar,bull
bar,pushbar,orothersimilardevices),snowplow,orwinches,isdangerous.Theair
bagcrashsensorsystemcouldbeaffected.Thiscouldcauseairbagstoinflate
unexpectedly,oritcouldpreventtheairbagsfrominflatingduringanaccident.Front
occupantscouldbeseriouslyinjured.
Donotmodifythesuspension:
Modifyingthevehiclesuspensionisdangerous.Ifthevehicle'sheightorthe
suspensionismodified,thevehiclewillbeunabletoaccuratelydetectacollision
resultinginincorrectorunexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofserious
injuries.
Donotmodifythesupplementalrestraintsystem:
Modifyingthecomponentsorwiringofthesupplementalrestraintsystemis
dangerous.Youcouldaccidentallyactivateitormakeitinoperable.Donotmakeany
modificationstothesupplementalrestraintsystem.Thisincludesinstallingtrim,
badges,oranythingelseovertheairbagmodules.Italsoincludesinstallingextra
electricalequipmentonornearsystemcomponentsorwiring.AnAuthorizedMazda
Dealercanprovidethespecialcareneededintheremovalandinstallationoffront
seats.Itisimportanttoprotecttheairbagwiringandconnectionstoassurethatthe
bagsdonotaccidentallydeploy,thedriverseatslidepositionsensorandfront
passengerseatweightsensorsarenotdamagedandthattheseatsretainan
undamagedairbagconnection.
