asABSandTCStohelpcontrolsideslip
whendrivingonslipperysurfaces,or
duringsuddenorevasivemaneuvering,
enhancingvehiclesafety.
qTCS/DSCIndicatorLight
RefertoABS(page5-6)andTCS(page
5-22).
Thisindicatorlightstaysonforafew
secondswhentheignitionswitchisturned
totheONposition.IftheTCSorDSCis
operating,theindicatorlightflashes.
DSCoperationispossibleatspeeds
greaterthan20km/h(12mph).
WARNING
Ifthelightstayson,theTCSorDSCmay
haveamalfunctionandtheymaynot
operatecorrectly.Takeyourvehicletoan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
Donotrelyonthedynamicstability
controlasasubstituteforsafedriving:
Thedynamicstabilitycontrol(DSC)
cannotcompensateforunsafeand
recklessdriving,excessivespeed,
tailgating(followinganothervehicle
tooclosely),andhydroplaning
(reducedtirefrictionandroadcontact
becauseofwaterontheroadsurface).
Youcanstillhaveanaccident.
NOTE
Inadditiontotheindicatorlight
l
flashing,aslightluggingsoundwill
comefromtheengine.Thisindicates
thattheTCSisoperatingproperly.
Onslipperysurfaces,suchasfresh
l
snow,itwillbeimpossibleto
achievehighrpmwhentheTCSis
on.
