waitthreeseconds,  andthenpullitbackoutagain.
HotCheckProcedure
Usethisprocedure  tocheckthetransmission  fluidlevel
whenthetransmission  fluidtemperature isbetween
Checkbothsidesofthedipstick   andreadthelower
level.Repeatthecheckprocedure   toverifythe
reading.
60°C
and75°C(140°Fand167°F).
Thehotcheckisthemostaccurate    methodtocheckthe
fluidlevel.Thehotcheckshouldbeperformed    atthe
firstopportunity inordertoverifythecoldcheck.The
fluidlevelrisesasfluidtemperature   increases, soitis
important toensurethetransmission  temperature is
withinrange.

Locatethe
transmission dipstick at
therearoftheengine
compartment, onthe
passenger sideofthe
vehicle.

IfthefluidlevelisbelowtheCOLDcheckband,
addonlyenoughfluidasnecessary   tobringthe
levelintotheCOLDband.Itdoesnottakemuch
fluid,generally lessthan0.5Liter(1Pint).Donot
overfill.

papertowel.

Performahotcheckatthefirstopportunity    after
thetransmission reachesanormaloperating
temperature between60°Cand75°C
