batterywithanegative groundsystem.
Notice: Iftheothervehicle's systemisnota12-volt
systemwithanegativeground,bothvehicles can
bedamaged. Onlyusevehicles with12-voltsystems
withnegativegroundstojumpstartyourvehicle.
Ifthevehicle's 12‐voltbattery hasrundown,youmay
wanttouseanothervehicleandsomejumpercablesto
startyourvehicle. Usethefollowing stepstodoitsafely.
2. Getthevehicles closeenoughsothejumper
cablescanreach,butbesurethevehicles arenot
touching eachother.Itcouldcauseaground
connection youdonotwant.Youwouldnotbeable
tostartyourvehicle, andthebadgrounding could
damagetheelectrical systems.

transmission inP(Park)oramanualtransmission
inN(Neutral) beforesettingtheparkingbrake.
