shortcircuits byacombination offuses,circuitbreakers
andfusiblethermallinks.Thisgreatlyreducesthe
chanceoffirescausedbyelectrical problems.

Besureyoureplaceabadfusewithanewoneofthe
identical sizeandrating.
RefertotheMaintenance Schedule todetermine what
kindoflubricant touse.See“Recommended Fluidsand
Lubricants”intheownermanual.
Ifyoueverhaveaproblemontheroadanddonothave
asparefuse,youcanborrowonethathasthe
sameamperage. Justpicksomefeatureofthevehicle
thatyoucangetalongwithout, liketheradioorcigarette
lighter,anduseitsfuse,ifitisthecorrectamperage.
Replaceitassoonasyoucan.
ElectricalSystem
HighVoltageDevicesandWiring
Thevehiclealsohasaspecialfuseinthebatterybox
forthe300-volt batteries. Ifthisfusehasfailedand
needstobereplaced, thevehiclewillbedisabled and
youwillneedtohavethevehiclerepaired byyour
dealer/retailer. Donotattempttoself-service thisfuse.

Exposuretohighvoltagecancauseshock,burns,
andevendeath.Thehighvoltagesystemsinyour
vehiclecanonlybeserviced bytechnicians with
specialtraining.
Highvoltagedevicesareidentified bylabels.Do
notremove,open,takeapart,ormodifythese
devices.Highvoltagecableorwiringhasorange
covering. Donotprobe,tamperwith,cut,
ormodifyhighvoltagecableorwiring.
