negative(−)cablefromthebatterytokeepthebattery
fromrunningdown.
Ifanairbaginflates orthevehiclehasbeeninacrash,
thevehicle's sensingsystemmightcommandthe
automatic hybridbatterydisconnect toopen.See

Extended Storage:Removethe12‐voltbatteryblack,
negative(−)cablefromthebatteryoruseabattery
tricklecharger.
