Pause Function
Picture Settings
X In DVD Video mode, display the menu
system if necessary (Y page 202).
X To pause playback: Select«.
The display« changes toX.
X To resume playback: Select
Playback continues from the point where it
was paused. The menu system is hidden.
Adjusting the Brightness, Contrast or
Color
X Display the menu system if necessary

Contrast orColor.
X To change the setting: Rotateymz or
slideqmr until the desired setting is
reached.
Selecting a Scene/Chapter
X To save the setting: Pressn.
X To skip forwards or backwards: Rotate
ymz or slideomp in Full Screen mode.
Changing the Picture Format

X Press theE orF button on the
control panel.
The control menu (Y page 201) appears for
approximately 8 seconds.
X Display the menu system if necessary

Y page 202).
X SelectDVD-Video.
The DVD-Video menu appears. The filled-in
option button in front of one of these menu
items:16:9 Optimized,4:3 or
Widescreen indicates the format currently
selected.
Selecting a Film/Track
i This function is only available if the DVD
is divided into several films/tracks.
X To change the format: Rotateymz or
slideqmr until the desired format is
selected.
X To save the setting: Pressn.
X Display the menu system if necessary

DVD itself. It is structured in various ways
according to the individual DVD and
permits certain actions and settings.
