To rem ove the ignition key on models with an autom atic
transm ission, place the gearshift lever in P (Park), turn
the ignition key to LOCK and rem ove the key.
WARN ING!
Leavin g child ren in a veh icle unatten ded is danger-
ous for a number of reason s. A child or oth ers could
be injured . Child ren should be warn ed not to tou ch
the park ing brak e, brak e pedal, or the gear selector
lever. Do not leave the keys in the ign ition . A child
could operate power windows, oth er controls, or
move the veh icle.

An unlock ed veh icle is an invitation to thieves.
Alw ays rem ove the key from the ign ition , and lock
all doors when leavin g the veh icle unatten ded.
To rem ove the ignition key on models with a manu al
transm ission, depress and hold the key release button,
turn the ignition key to LOCK and rem ove the key.
