Win dow Foggin g
Win ter Operation
In mild but rainy or hu mid weather, wind ows will fog on
the insid e. To rap idly clear the fog off all the wind ows,
select the defrost mode, turn the tem peratu re control
knob fully clockw ise, and position the blow er control to
its highest speed . Once the wind shield has been cleared ,
adjust the controls for you r comfort.
When operating the system during the winter months,
make sure the air intake, located directly in front of the
wind shield , is free of ice, slush, snow, or other obstru c-
tions.

Rear Window Wiper/Washer
On air cond itioned vehicles, the compressor will operate
when in the Mix or Defrost modes and when the outsid e
tem peratu re is approxim ately 30°F (-1°C) to provid e
additional defrost/ defog.
A rotary ring switch on the control lever, located on the
right side of the steering column, controls operation of
the rear wiper/ washer function. Rotating the center of
the switch up to the DEL (Delay) position or the ON
position will activate the wiper. Rotating the switch ring
beyond the ON or OFF position will activate the rear
washer. The wash pump will continu e to operate as long
as the lever or ring is engaged . Upon release, the wipers
will cycle three times before retu rning to the set position.
Summer Operation
Air cond itioned vehicles must be protected with a high
quality anti-freeze coolant during summer to provid e
prop er corrosion protection and to raise the boiling point
of the coolant for protection against overheating. A 50%
concentration is recom mend ed.
