WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
Prep aration
3. Assem ble the jack and jacking tools as show n. Connect
jack hand le driver to extensions, then to lug wrench.
•
Park on a firm , level surface well off the road , to
provid e ample work space. Place autom atic transm is-
sion in P (Park), or manu al transm ission in R (Re-
verse), and stop engine. Set parking brake firm ly and
activate hazard warning flasher.
4. Locate the jack as show n. For the front tires, place it in
the notch on the bod y weld seam behind wheel to be
changed . For the rear tires, place it und er the axle as
show n. Position the jack hand le on the jack.

vent forw ard and backw ard
vehicle movem ent.
Instru ction s
1.
Remove spare tire, jack and tools from stored location.
2.
Before raising vehicle, loosen lug nu ts on wheel with
flat tire.
