The keys for your new vehicle are enclosed in a plastic
bagwiththekeycodenumberonit.Ifyoureceivedyour
keys without the bag, ask your dealer to give you the
number.Thekeycodecanalsobeobtainedbythedealer
fromyourvehicleinvoice.
IgnitionKey
Insertthekeyfully,thenturntheswitchtooneofthefour
illustrated positions. The key can be inserted or with-
drawnonlyintheLOCKposition.Theautomatictrans-
missiongearselectormustbeintheP(Park)position.
Toremovetheignitionkeyonmodelswithanautomatic
transmission, place the gearshift lever in P (Park), turn
theignitionkeytoLOCKandremovethekey.
IgnitionKeyPositions
To remove the ignition key on models with a manual
transmission, depress and hold the key release button,
turntheignitionkeytoLOCKandremovethekey.
