Beforestartingyourvehicle,adjustyourseat,adjustboth
insideandoutsidemirrors,andfastenyourseatbelts.
In4Lmode,thisvehiclewillstartregardlessofwhether
ornottheclutchpedalispressedtothefloor.Thisfeature
enhancesoff-roadperformancebyallowingthevehicleto
start when in 4L without having to depress the clutch
pedal. The 4 LO MODE indicator light will illuminate
whenthetransfercasehasbeenshiftedintothismode.
WARNING!
Do not leave children or animals inside parked
vehiclesinhotweather.Interiorheatbuildupmay
causeseriousinjuryordeath.
AutomaticTransmission
StarttheenginewiththeselectorleverintheN(Neutral) 5
or P (Park) position.Apply the brake before shifting to
anydrivingrange.
ManualTransmission
Applytheparkingbrake,placethegearshiftcontrollever
in N (Neutral) and depress the clutch pedal before
starting vehicle. This vehicle is equipped with a clutch
interlockingignitionsystem,whichrequirestheclutchto
befullydepressedbeforestartingthevehicle.
