Do not attempt to make a shift while only the
frontorrearwheelsarespinning.TheSelec-Trac
transfercaseisnotequippedwithasynchronizer
andthereforethefrontandreardriveshaftspeeds
mustbeequalfortheshifttotakeplace.Shifting
while only the front or rear wheels are spinning
cancausedamagetothetransfercase.
The FULL TIME indicator light, located on the instru-
mentcluster,illuminateswhenthetransfercaseisshifted
tothe4FULLTIMEposition.
The 4LO MODE indicator light, located on the instru-
mentcluster,illuminateswhenthetransfercaseisshifted
tothe4LOposition.Thereisnolightforthe2WD,orN
(Neutral)positions.

When operating your vehicle in 4LO, the engine
speed is approximately three times that of the
2WD,4PARTTIME,or4FULLTIMEpositionsat
agivenroadspeed.Takecarenottooverspeedthe
engineanddonotexceed25mph(40km/h).
