IMPORTANTINFORMATION
Battery disconnection
Your vehicle is equipped with a batterybacked-up sounder, which operates as an anti-theft
siren if the vehicle batteryis disconnected.
Before disconnecting the vehicle battery, it is ESSENTIALto refer to ’Batteryremovaland
replacement’in Section 4, in order to prevent the alarm from sounding.
If the vehicle batteryis disconnected for any reason, the status of the securitysystem prior to
disconnection will be memorised and automaticallyreset when the batteryis reconnected.
ALARMOR HANDSETDIFFICULTIES
Alarm goes off unexpectedly.
(a) Ensure all windows and sunroof are closed.
(b) Disable interior space protection.
Alarm goes off when door opened.
Disarm the alarm with the handset before
unlocking. If the handset has failed, enter the
emergencykey access code (refer to ’Engine
immobilisation override’).
Starter will not operate.
Ensure handset is on same ring as starter key. If
it stillwill not operate, consult a Land Rover
dealer.
Direction indicator lights don’t flash
when alarm is armed.
Adoor or bonnet is partiallyopen.
