COOLINGSYSTEMTOP-UP
Top-up with a 50% mixture of anti-freeze and
water so that the surface of the coolant is level
with the seam on the side of the tank. Ensure
the cap is tightened fully after top-up is
completed.
DONOToverfill. This may result in damage to
the radiator.
If the levelhas fallen appreciably, suspect
leakage or overheating and arrange for your
dealer to examine your vehicle.
V8 models
WARNING
NEVER remove the filler cap or radiator filler
plug when the engine is hot - escaping
steam or scalding water could cause serious
injury.
The coolant level in the reservoir should be
checked at least weekly (more frequently in
high mileage or arduous operating
conditions). Always check the level WHEN
THESYSTEMIS COLD.
On V8 models, as well as removing the
reservoir cap, carefullyunscrew the radiator
filler plug (illustrated above), allowing
pressure to escape before removing
completely.

completely.
Never run the engine without coolant.
Top the radiator up, if necessary, with a 50%
mixture of anti-freeze and water to maintain
the levelat approximately12 mm (0.5 in)
below the radiator filler neck. Ensure the plug
is tightened fully after top-up is completed.
DONOTOVERFILL!
