goesoverthebackoftheseatandhookstoananchoringpoint.Tether
strapsareavailableasanaccessoryformanyoldersafetyseats.Contact
themanufacturerofyourchildseatforinformationaboutorderinga
tetherstrap.
Therearseatsofyourvehicleareequippedwithbuilt-intetherstrap
anchorslocatedbehindtheseatsasdescribedbelow.
Thetetheranchorsinyourvehicleareeitherlocatedunderacover
markedwiththetetheranchorsymbol(shownwithtitle)orarerecessed
barsonthebacksideoftheseatback.
Thetetherstrapanchorsinyour
vehicleareinthefollowingpositions

Attachthetetherstraponlytotheappropriatetetheranchoras
shown.Thetetherstrapmaynotworkproperlyifattached
somewhereotherthanthecorrecttetheranchor.

Routethechildsafetyseattetherstrapoverthebackoftheseat.
Onhatchbacks,theremovableluggageareacovermustberemovedprior
toattachingthetetherstraptothetetheranchor.
Onwagons,itmaybenecessarytoremovethecargocoverassembly
priortoattachingthetetherstraptothetetheranchor.Thetethermust
notgoaroundthecargocoverretractorassembly.
Forvehicleswithadjustableheadrestraints,routethetetherstrapunder
theheadrestraintandbetweentheheadrestraintposts,otherwiseroute
thetetherstrapoverthetopoftheseatback.
