equipment.
CargoWeight–includesallweightaddedtotheBaseCurbWeight,
includingcargoandoptionalequipment.Whentowing,trailertongueload
orkingpinweightisalsopartofcargoweight.
GAW(GrossAxleWeight)–isthetotalweightplacedoneachaxle
(frontandrear)–includingvehiclecurbweightandallpayload.
GAWR(GrossAxleWeightRating)–isthemaximumallowable
weightthatcanbecarriedbyasingleaxle(frontorrear).These
numbersareshownontheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabel
locatedontheB-Pillarortheedgeofthedriver’sdoor.Thetotal
loadoneachaxlemustneverexceeditsGAWR.
ExceedingtheSafetyComplianceCertificationLabelaxleweight
ratinglimitscouldresultinsubstandardvehiclehandlingor
performance,engine,transmissionand/orstructuraldamage,serious
damagetothevehicle,lossofcontrolandpersonalinjury.
