VehicleswithTractionControl(ifequipped)mayexhibitsomeunusual
drivingcharacteristics,whenusingsnowchains,whichcanbeavoidedby
switchingTractionControloff.
Followtheseguidelineswhenusingsnowtiresandchains:
Asnowtireasoriginalequipmentisnotoffered.Pleasecontact
yourauthorizeddealertofitanappropriatesizedsnowtire
(P185/60R15).
Snowchainsshouldneverbeusedonthesparetire.

Useonlycabletypechainsforsnowtraction.UsingSAEclassSor
otherconventionallinktypechainsmaycausedamagetothevehicle’s
wheelhouseand/orbody.Snowcabletypechainsshouldonlybefitted
tosizeP185/60R15tires.P185/60R15tiresarenotofferedbyFordas
originalequipment.Tooperatethevehiclewithsnowchainsthese
tiresmustbepurchasedandmountedseparately.

Installchainssecurely,verifyingthatthechainsdonottouchany
wiring,brakelinesorfuellines.
Drivecautiously.Ifyouhearthechainsruborbangagainstyour
vehicle,stopandre-tightenthechains.Ifthisdoesnotwork,remove
thechainstopreventdamagetoyourvehicle.

Ifpossible,avoidfullyloadingyourvehicle.
Removethetirechainswhentheyarenolongerneeded.Donotuse
tirechainsondryroads.

Thesuspensioninsulationandbumperswillhelppreventvehicle
