GCW(GrossCombinedWeight)–istheweightoftheloadedvehicle
(GVW)plustheweightofthefullyloadedtrailer.
GCWR(GrossCombinedWeightRating)–isthemaximumallowable
weightofthevehicleandtheloadedtrailer–includingallcargoand
passengers–thatthevehiclecanhandlewithoutriskingdamage.
(Important:Thetowingvehicles’brakingsystemisratedforoperationat
GVWR,notatGCWR.Separatefunctionalbrakesshouldbeusedforsafe
controloftowedvehiclesandfortrailerswheretheGCWofthetowing
vehicleplusthetrailerexceedtheGVWRofthetowingvehicle.The
GCWmustneverexceedtheGCWR.
MaximumLoadedTrailerWeight–isthehighestpossibleweightofa
fullyloadedtrailerthevehiclecantow.Itassumesavehiclewithonly
mandatoryoptions,nocargo(internalorexternal),atongueloadof
10–15%
(conventionaltrailer)orkingpinweightof15–25%(fifthwheel
trailer),anddriveronly(150lb.[68kg]).Consultyourauthorized
dealer(ortheRVandTrailerTowingGuideprovidedbyyour
authorizeddealer)formoredetailedinformation.
DonotexceedtheGVWRortheGAWRspecifiedontheSafety
ComplianceCertificationLabel.
Donotusereplacementtireswithlowerloadcarryingcapacities
thantheoriginalsbecausetheymaylowerthevehicle’sGVWR
andGAWRlimitations.Replacementtireswithahigherlimitthanthe
originalsdonotincreasetheGVWRandGAWRlimitations.
Exceedinganyvehicleweightratinglimitationcouldresultin
seriousdamagetothevehicleand/orpersonalinjury.
