Recliningtheseatbackcancauseanoccupanttoslideunderthe
seat’ssafetybelt,resultinginseverepersonalinjuriesinthe
eventofacollision.
Donotpilecargohigherthantheseatbackstoreducetheriskof
injuryinacollisionorsuddenstop.
Beforereturningtheseatbacktoitsoriginalposition,makesure
thatcargooranyobjectsarenottrappedbehindtheseatback.
Afterreturningtheseatbacktoitsoriginalposition,pullonthe
seatbacktoensurethatithasfullylatched.Anunlatchedseatmay
becomedangerousintheeventofasuddenstoporcollision.
Adjustable head restraints (if equipped)
Yourvehicle’sseatsmaybeequippedwithheadrestraintswhichare
verticallyadjustable.Thepurposeoftheseheadrestraintsistohelplimit
headmotionintheeventofarearcollision.Toproperlyadjustyourhead
restraints,lifttheheadrestraintsothatitislocateddirectlybehindyour
headorasclosetothatpositionaspossible.Refertothefollowingto
raiseandlowertheheadrestraints.
Pushorpulltheheadrestraintto
raiseittothedesiredheight.To
lower,pushthebuttoninthecollar
aroundthestem.
Therearheadrestraintscanberemovedaltogetheriftheleft-hand
lockingbuttonispressed.
