Usethefollowingguidelinestoavoidstaticbuild-upwhenfillingan
ungroundedfuelcontainer:

Placeapprovedfuelcontainerontheground.
DONOTfillafuelcontainerwhileitisinthevehicle(includingthe
cargoarea).

Keepthefuelpumpnozzleincontactwiththefuelcontainerwhile
filling.
DONOTuseadevicethatwouldholdthefuelpumphandleinthefill
position.
Fuel Filler Cap
Yourfueltankfillercaphasanindexeddesignwitha1/4turnon/off
feature.
Whenfuelingyourvehicle:

Turntheengineoff.
Carefullyturnthefillercapcounterclockwise1/4ofaturnuntilit
stops.

Pulltoremovethecapfromthefuelfillerpipe.
Toinstallthecap,alignthetabsonthecapwiththenotchesonthe
fillerpipe.
5.
Turnthefillercapclockwise1/4ofaturnuntilatleastoneclickis
heard.
IftheCHECKFUELCAPindicatorcomeson,thefuelfillercapmaynot
beproperlyinstalled.Turnofftheengine,removethefuelfillercap,
alignthecapproperlyandreinstallit.
